Ingredients:

2 lbs ground beef (or ground turkey), cooked and drained

2 cans Sloppy Joe sauce (like Del Monte Smokey BBQ or your favorite brand)

Optional: Add ½ tsp liquid smoke for extra depth

2 boxes Texas Toast Garlic Bread with Cheese

1½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese or 8 slices provolone

Optional: Keto garlic toast for a low-carb option

Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven:
Set your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Prepare the Meat Filling:

Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat, breaking it into crumbles. Drain excess fat.

Stir in the Sloppy Joe sauce. Simmer the mixture for 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally to blend the flavors.

  1. Toast the Garlic Bread:

Arrange the Texas Toast garlic bread on a baking sheet.

Bake for 5 minutes, or until lightly crisped.

  1. Assemble:

Remove the bread from the oven and top each piece with a generous spoonful of the meat mixture.

Add shredded mozzarella or a slice of provolone on top of the meat.

  1. Bake Again:

Return to the oven and bake for 7-8 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

  1. Optional Keto Twist:

For a low-carb version, replace Texas Toast with garlic-flavored keto bread. Follow the same assembly steps.

  1. Serve:

Enjoy these open-faced Smokey Sloppy Joe garlic bread bakes as a meal or party snack. Serve with a side salad or veggie sticks for a balanced plate.

Tips:

Sprinkle fresh parsley or red pepper flakes on top for garnish.

To make it more kid-friendly, add a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese or a dash of your favorite BBQ sauce before serving.

Enjoy!
