Ingredients:
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chocolate chips
For the Chocolate Coating:
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 tablespoon coconut oil or butter
Directions:
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy.
- Add the milk and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
- Gradually add in the flour and salt, stirring until a smooth dough forms.
- Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
- Line a baking dish with parchment paper and press the cookie dough evenly into the pan. Smooth out the top.
- Place the dish in the refrigerator for about 1 hour, or until firm.
- Melt the chocolate chips with the coconut oil (or butter) in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring in between until smooth.
- Pour the melted chocolate over the chilled cookie dough and spread evenly.
- Sprinkle extra chocolate chips on top for decoration.
- Return the dish to the refrigerator for another 30 minutes, or until the chocolate sets.
- Once firm, remove from the dish, cut into bars, and enjoy!
