How to Make Cajun Salmon

Cajun salmon is a flavorful dish that combines the rich taste of salmon with the bold spices of Cajun seasoning

Ingredients:

2 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)

1 tablespoon olive oil

2 teaspoons paprika

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/4 teaspoon dried thyme

1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Cajun Seasoning: In a small bowl, mix together the paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, dried thyme, and cayenne pepper.
  2. Season the Salmon: Brush the salmon fillets with olive oil. Generously coat the flesh side of each fillet with the Cajun seasoning mixture, pressing it in lightly to adhere.
  3. Cook the Salmon:

Broiling Method: Preheat your broiler with an oven rack about 6 inches from the heat source. Place the salmon on a foil-lined baking sheet, skin-side down. Broil for 6-8 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.

Grilling Method: Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Place the salmon fillets on the grill, skin-side down. Grill for 3-4 minutes, then flip and cook for an additional 1-3 minutes until done to your liking.

Pan-Searing Method: Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Place the salmon fillets in the skillet, skin-side down. Cook for about 3-4 minutes, then flip and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until cooked through.

  1. Serve: Once cooked, remove the salmon from heat and let it rest for a minute. Serve hot, optionally garnished with lemon wedges or fresh herbs.

Enjoy your meal!
