How to Make Homemade Apple Pie: A Melt-in-Your-Mouth Delight
Ingredients:
3 large eggs
3/4 cup (150 g) granulated sugar
2 1/2 cups (300 g) all-purpose flour
2/3 cup (150 ml) milk
4 tablespoons (1/4 cup) melted butter
1 tablespoon baking powder
2 large apples
Zest of 1 lemon
Pinch of salt
Instructions:
- Prepare the Batter:
In a mixer, beat the eggs, sugar, and a pinch of salt until light and creamy.
Add the melted butter and milk; mix briefly.
Incorporate the lemon zest and half of the sifted flour combined with baking powder; mix gently.
Add the remaining sifted flour with baking powder; mix until smooth.
- Add Apples:
Wash the apples thoroughly; remove the seeds and core.
Cut the apples into cubes (peeling is optional).
Fold the apple cubes into the batter until evenly distributed.
- Bake:
Preheat the oven to 356°F (180°C).
Pour the batter into a greased or parchment-lined glass baking dish.
Bake for 45 to 50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Finish:
Allow the cake to cool.
Remove from the dish.
Optional: Brush a sugar glaze over the top for a shiny finish.
