Ingredients
1 cup (226g) unsalted butter, softened
½ cup (100g) powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 ¾ cups (220g) all-purpose flour
¼ cup (30g) cornstarch
¼ teaspoon salt
Optional: Granulated sugar for coating
Instructions
1. Prepare the Dough
In a bowl, beat butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy. Add vanilla and mix well.
2. Mix Dry Ingredients
Sift together flour, cornstarch, and salt. Gradually add to the butter mixture and mix until a soft dough forms.
3. Chill the Dough
Shape the dough into a log, wrap in plastic wrap, and chill for at least 30 minutes.
4. Slice & Bake
Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C). Slice dough into ½-inch rounds and place on a lined baking sheet. Bake for 12–15 minutes until edges are slightly golden.
5. Cool & Enjoy
Let cookies cool before serving. For extra sweetness, roll in granulated sugar while warm.
