Want to make fresh bread at home?
Ingredients:
10g dry yeast (1 packet)
200ml warm water (1 glass)
720g flour (6 cups) + 120g (1 cup) for mixing
10g salt (1 tsp)
1 egg yolk
1 tbsp milk
Directions:
Dissolve the yeast in 200ml warm water and stir until it’s smooth.
Add 120g flour and mix well. Cover and let it rest for 15 minutes.
Add 400ml warm water, then slowly mix in 720g flour and salt. Knead the dough for 3-4 minutes until it’s soft but not sticky.
Cover the dough and let it rise until it doubles in size. Then, punch it down and divide it into two parts.
Shape each part into a ball, let them rest for 10 minutes.
Roll out each dough ball, shaping them, and place them on a baking tray. Let them rest for another 20 minutes.
Brush the top with a mix of egg yolk and milk, and bake at 200°C (392°F) for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
